Feeling better!

So, this past week I have been sick. Headache, body aches, chills, fever, the whole nasty, yucky mess. But with many prayers from family and friends, and some excellent care from my dearest love, I am feeling back to normal. Since I was sick, I didn't stick to my eating plan. I was just happy when I finally felt like eating again! So my weigh in this week was only at 232.5, which is just a 1/2 pound less than last week, but it's still a loss, so I'm happy.

Terry and I went out for breakfast this morning to Jimmy's Egg, which is a great place for breakfast or brunch, that Bailey and Wes introduced to us when they lived in Edmond, OK. I was very happy to learn they are also here in Wichita! Yummy! I ordered a smaller breakfast than I usually get, and didn't quite finish it all, but enjoyed every bite of it! Terry was better and stuck to our eating plan, and brought half of his meal home for another meal later in the day.

While we were there, Terry and I talked about our workout plans for this next week. He wants to go over to the YMCA tomorrow and go check out the weight room and plan his workout. That sounds like a good idea to me, even tho I am more familiar with the machines and their layout. We also talked about setting a goal of running a 5K. Since there is going to be a 5K for Team Mallorie as a fundraiser for a young girl at our church who is battling luekemia in April, we decided that is it. So, we are going to sign up for this 5K to be held on April 26th. That's 11 weeks from today, and the Couch to 5K program is set up for 9 weeks. So.....guess what we will be starting? Yep, Couch to 5K! I'm glad there are 2 extra weeks, to allow for some extra running time, in case I need it.

I'm so blessed that I am not doing this by myself this time! I think having Terry on this journey with me has really helped. We are able to encourgage each other and will be able to help hold each other accountable as we train for this 5K. And knowing that I have him in this with me, keeps me movtivated to keep going when it gets hard. And I know that after this next week, it's going to start getting harder again. But I also know that after the first week or so of being back in the gym, and getting over the soreness and getting back into a routine, I will be happy I stuck it out and I will look forward to my workout time!

So, tonight I am going to watch the Olympics, and tomorrow after church I will plan out my workouts for the week. It's gonna be a good week!
